Who we are
This website is operated by Friends of Dr. James M. Thompson I for District 11 Campaign ("the campaign," "we," "us"). It supports the candidacy of Dr. James M. Thompson I for Richland County Council, District 11.
Information we collect
When you submit a form on this site (sign-up, get involved, contact, or event RSVP), we may collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, ZIP code, neighborhood or precinct, and any message you choose to share. Donations are processed by ActBlue, which collects payment information under its own privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to communicate with you about the campaign, organize volunteers and events, respond to your questions, comply with campaign finance and election law, and improve our outreach. We do not sell your personal information.
Email & SMS consent
By providing your email address or phone number and checking the consent box, you agree to receive campaign updates, event invitations, and volunteer or fundraising messages by email and/or SMS text message. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any message, or opt out of SMS by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help.
Sharing
We may share information with campaign vendors and service providers (such as email, CRM, and event platforms) who act on our behalf, and as required by law or campaign finance disclosure requirements. Contribution information may be reported to the relevant election authorities as required.
Data security & retention
We take reasonable measures to protect your information and retain it only as long as needed for campaign and legal purposes.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or opt out of communications, through our contact page. This site is not directed to children under 13.
